There’s this girl in a blue dress, gold bamboo hoops and micro braids in a ponytail down her back. Not just her aesthetic but her confidence is what caught my eye. I am thinking she would be another perfect edition to FEMININE = RIGHT. A Posing Beauty she is. At Love More Hookah Lounge (Tulsa, OK) my best friend and I are having a girls night out enjoying ourselves with Pade Tea and good music. As this night came to a close, I followed my intuition again and asked that girl in the blue dress, “Can I take some photos of you? I am working on a project called FEMININE = RIGHT surrounding hair, black culture and women’s rights” Of course she was ready fo sho. Right on the sidewalk we had a photoshoot. And the men were hyping her up in the background. We gotta love it. From there found out her name is Faith. What a beautiful name and connection she made for this project. Have you heard of the saying “FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD” James 2:26 

Throughout this project faith has led me to every action and addition of this project. It began to showcase beautiful hairstyles of our black culture experience; using female artists because women are being disrespected in male dominated industries and spaces. In this project I dive deeper in research to find the duality between feminine and masculine energy traits that we both possess and use. In order to exchange information about the brain functionality to prevent mental and physical disease and even disrespect. I had no idea I would end up here with it all. But God had a different plan for this experience. Faith is a feminine trait while confidence is a masculine one. Crazy how the harmony of this experience is embodied. We all possess and use both masculine and feminine energy regardless of gender. Learning to respect feminine traits along with masculine traits, first in ourselves and then in others, will do a lot for our mental and physical health but also for society at large.
