For this portrait series, photographing real women and men of Oklahoma is intentional to showcase everyday people like you and I can exemplify the natural ability to exist in true feminine and masculine balanced form.

Through a psychological lens, the yin and yang philosophy expands many traits, polarities and balances of our inner selves and things of this world.

is a complex organ that controls thoughts, memory, emotion, touch, motor skills, vision, breathing, temperature, hunger and every process that regulates our body. Together the brain and spinal cord that extends from it make up the central nervous system.

Yang is the male energy, the Alpha, the super conscious mind or creator - the idea of anything.

Yin is the female energy, the Omega, the sub conscious mind that carries out the idea put out forth by the creator.
