FEMININE = RIGHT BRAIN
The right side of the brain is feminine which symbolize...
creative,
delicate,
intuitive,
nurturing,
receptive,
tender,
surrendering,
synthesizing,
integrating,
soft,
Feeling, and
the part of us that “knows” without explanation. It’s roots reach deep into the heart.
PROLOGUE : INTERMISSION PT 1
ELEMENTS
The elements are the parts that make it make sense.
COLOR THEORY & PSYCHOLOGY : Sunset palette. @missirieblues I pay attention to the Tulsa skies cause they calm me and remind of what God has created. Just beautiful.
Red - powerful, passion, activity, anger, love and good fortune.
Orange: joy, warmth, heat, sunshine, enthusiasm, creativity, success, encouragement, change, determination, health, stimulation, happiness, fun, enjoyment, balance, sexuality, freedom, expression, and fascination.
Brown: soil, growth, fertility, and earth, “all natural” and “organic.” color of the Earth and is comforting and nurturing. The color brown affects the mind and body by creating feelings of wholesomeness, stability, and peace.
Cotton Candy Pink: A combination of red and white, pink contains the need for action of red, helping it to achieve the potential for success and insight offered by white. It is the passion and power of red softened with the purity, openness and completeness of white. The deeper the pink, the more passion and energy it exhibits.
THE LOOK
Red Fringe Jacket @POORLITTLERICHGIRL - @missirieblues I have a thing with western wear since my Grandfather and uncle would stunt in a 2 piece gator suit with matching cowboy hats and boots. Oh yeah on every visit marathons of western cowboy movies no what time of the day. That was dope and different for me.
Beauty, Pearls and Diamonds - @caramel_queen_virgo I want to do a sexy eccentric look with my favorite lashes.
Diamonds are a girl’s best friend they say, but diamonds symbolically are Light, Life, and Sun. Invincible spiritual power, intellectual and knowledge.
Pearls: Loyalty, wisdom, protection, good fortune.
THE SNAKE
When @caramel-queen-virgo asked to have her pet baby snake join the shoot @missirieblues I thought it was the coolest and cutest. The whole time baby was feeling the jacket more than us and the photoshoot. A snake spiritually means fertility or a creative life force.
THE ROOT
@missirieblues The root of this project started with childhood memories in the hair salons and barber shops seeing my parents and their peers show out from the hairstyles to the fashion. I also paid attention to the hair books and magazines and photos around the shop. And at some point I decided to start working with more people I know, like real people I grew up with. It feels more comfortable and timeless with most.
